We’ll provide everything you need to get started, so you can dive right into the joy of creating with your hands. Whether you’re looking to pick up a calming new hobby or dreaming of handmade gifts, this class is the perfect first step.
In the Knitting 101 Class, you’ll learn these skills:
- Creating the knit stitch
- Binding off
- Casting on
- Making a buttonhole
- Whipstitch
- Understanding yarn, needles and gauge
- Developing healthy crafting rhythms
- Start your very first project – a simple coin purse or drink cozy!
Kit Includes
- 20-25g yarn
- Straight knitting needles
- Button or snap (your choice)
- Stitch marker
- Pattern and instructions
Theatrically trained and a lifelong crafter, Cathyann enjoys creating and repurposing that which is no longer valued and loved. A sewist, knitter, crocheter, weaver and needleworker, she will apply her skills to transform and breathe life into a new creation.
Experiencing the joy of learning together and growing in skill and personal development is the goal of every class.
Appropriate for adults, teens and kids 10 and up accompanied by an adult.
