STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT SESSION STARTING IN JULY
Ready to learn how to sew — and actually feel confident doing it?
This six-week series for adults and teens is designed to give you practical, hands-on experience from day one. You’ll build skills step by step while creating a fully lined tote bag, gaining confidence at the machine through real practice — not long lectures.
Each week builds on the last, reinforcing what you’ve learned while introducing new techniques in a supportive, small-group setting. By the end of the series, you won’t just leave with a finished bag — you’ll have the foundation to continue sewing on your own.
Whether you're brand new or brushing up on basics, this course sets you up for long-term success. Adults and teens age 16 and up (ages 13 & up with parent enrolled as well)
What will we make?
Over the course of six weeks, you will sew a fun and functional tote bag featuring your own fabric and design choices. Once you have mastered the basics, you might want to jump into our next series, making clothing from patterns.
How many people will be in the class?
We limit our class size to six students to ensure lots of focused attention and instruction. Prefer private lessons? Check out the options under our Private Sewing Lesson listing.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself and a willingness to learn! We have Brother sewing machines in the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own. Just let us know in advance.
Who will be teaching?
London Delicath is the owner of SLOLife Studio & Mercantile, and loves to share her passion for sewing with others. Taught by her mom, she's been sewing since she was a kid, making fabulous Barbie and troll doll outfits. She teaches with kind encouragement designed to get you feeling confident and excited about your own sewing journey.
* When you book your course, you will select just the start date, but you will be enrolled for the full six weeks
