Learn how to sew a lined, boxed-corner zippered pouch in whatever size you like! Once you understand the "formula", you'll be hooked on making these for travel, makeup, pencil cases, craft project bags and more, you and everyone you love will be showered with them. London will teach you how to measure and cut with a rotary cutter and mat, make and install a custom-sized zipper with tabs, sew a multi-paneled outer layer, box the corners two different ways, and add hardware for wrist straps or lanyards. These bags can be as whimsical or classic as your own personal style!
What do I need to know to prepare?
You should be comfortable sewing on a machine. If you would like a sewing refresher (or starter!) before the workshop, just schedule a private lesson with London. Class is limited to 6 people for lots on hands-on instruction. Adults and teens welcome, plus kids with sewing experience ages 10 and up accompanied by an adult.
What do I need to bring?
You are welcome to bring any of your own fabric and trims, and we will have an assortment of fabrics and zippers to choose from. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours.
