Sashiko Placemat Asanoha

Sashiko Placemat Asanoha makes it easy to practice your stitches and then wash away the pattern when done! The pattern is a traditional hemp leaf design, and the finished project size is approximately 12 x 17.5 inches, and can be used as a placemat, or a variety of projects like tote bags or visible mending.

Made in Japan with Japanese instructions, but there are lots of tutorials out there on sashiko techniques! A visual translation app can be very helpful as well.

Sashiko Placemat Asanoha includes just the preprinted indigo cotton fabric. Needle and thread must be purchased separately.
